Reissue a The Specified Skills Evaluation Exam pass certificate taken in Japan

Certificates issued through the "JAC Members" app can be reissued only once for each category.
For example, a person who passes the exam in the fields of "civil engineering" and "architecture" can reissue the certificate once in each of the fields of "civil engineering" and "architecture".
*Exams held on or after December 1, 2025 are eligible.
Please refer to the link below for how to issue a certificate of passing an exam held between November 30, 2025.

*If you have a certificate of acceptance that is awaiting issuance at this time, you will not be able to issue the next certificate until the certificate is issued or rejected.

The process for reissuing a certificate

If you would like to reissue your certificate using the "JAC Members" app, please apply using the steps below.
The certificate for the same subject can be reissued only if:Just onceis.
This is only permitted in cases of unavoidable reasons, such as losing your certificate due to a natural disaster.
Please download your certificate as soon as possible after it is issued and keep it safe.

Step 1.
Display the certificate reissue screen

1-1. Display the "Domestic Exam Certificate Issuance Application" screen

Tap "Domestic Certificate of Passing" from the menu at the bottom of the home screen.

The "Apply for a domestic examination certificate" screen will open.

If you are unable to apply and a dialog box appears stating "You cannot make a new application because the following applications have already been submitted," please check the frequently asked questions below.

1-2. Display the certificate reissue screen

Tap "If you want to reissue your​ the pass certificate".

The screen for reissuing the certificate will open.

Step 2.
Enter your information

2-1. Enter your information in the "Certificate of Exam Application"

Please enter the information for the exam you passed, such as the "Confirmation Letter" issued by Prometric.
*Certificates can only be reissued once for the same exam area.

Please enter the ID issued by Prometric.
Example) prm123456

② Examination number

Please enter your exam number.
Example: JP99000001

③ Examination location

Please enter your exam location.
Example: Nishi-Shinjuku/Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building

④ Exam date

Please select the date on the calendar that you took the exam.

⑤ Select the test category

Please select the category of exam you have passed.

⑥ If you do not have a residence card, click here

If you do not have a residence card, please tap here.

2-3. Take a photo of your face

"Take a photo of your face"カメラのアイコンTap. An explanation of what you need to be careful of will be displayed. Read the explanation carefully. Tap the [Start shooting] button to take a photo.

*If there are any imperfections in the photo, such as your mouth being open or there being something in the background, your application will not be accepted. If you are unsure, please take a new photo.

On the "Confirm Face Photo" screen, check that the photo is clear. If it is clear, check each item and tap the [OK] button.

Select the date you received your first certificate.
If you don't know the exact date, enter an approximation.
Example: If you receive your certificate around July 2023

Please enter the reason why you would like your certificate reissued.

Check the details and apply

3-1. Check the displayed details and apply

Scroll through the confirmation screen to review your entries.

If the details are correct, tap [Apply].
If you want to change the content, tap [Back].

If your application is successful, you will be returned to the home screen.

If you are unable to apply and a dialog box appears stating "You cannot make a new application because the following applications have already been submitted," please check the frequently asked questions below.

Step 4.
The reissue application is completed.

4-1. Confirm the message that your application for certificate issuance has been accepted

Once your application for a certificate of passing has been successfully accepted, you will receive a message in the app's message list informing you that your application for a reissued certificate has been accepted.

This completes the application for reissue of the certificate.
Please wait a while until the certificate is issued.

*If you have previously reissued a certificate for the same exam subject,Even just onceIf you have already taken the exam, your certificate will not be reissued.
(For example, if you have previously had a civil engineering exam certificate reissued, you cannot have a civil engineering exam certificate reissued.)

Receive a certificate of completion

5-1. Certificate of passing is reissued

Once your certificate has been issued, you will receive a message informing you of this in the app's message list.

Open the message and download the certificate.
