The JAC website uses AI automatic translation (machine translation). Because it is machine translation, the translation may not always be accurate.
About the automatic translation (machine translation) function
- The website is automatically translated (machine translated) according to the language settings of the device you are using to view the website.
- To change the language, open the language selection panel from the Language button in the header and select the language.
- Some proper nouns may not be translated correctly.
- Some pages are not automatically translated. PDFs are not translated.
- Links to external sites will not be translated.

[Notice] Changes to the test administration method in Japan
Starting with The Specified Skills Evaluation Exam in December 2025, all Japan exams will be conducted at the Prometric Test Center.
Japan The Specified Skills Evaluation Exam for Construction Industry in Japan will be implemented at 95 Prometric Test Centers nationwide from December 2025. You can take the exam at a venue that is closer than before.
[For those taking the exam after December 2025]
You can apply through the Prometric website and take the test at a Prometric testing center.

Test No. 1 and Test No. 2
- Application:
The application method will change to application via the Prometric website.

- Scores displayed on the score report:
Score reports for domestic exams from December onwards will show scores for both the written and practical exams.
*The score report is not a certificate of passing the exam.
- Retake:
Previously, you could take the exam once per month, but from now on, you will be able to retake the exam if you wait at least 30 days after your last attempt.
- Prohibition of obtaining multiple Prometric IDs:
If one person obtains multiple IDs and takes the exam, the exam results will be invalid and you will lose your eligibility to take the exam for a certain period of time. Please be careful not to do this.
- Certificate issuance
To apply for a certificate of passing, please use the "JAC Members" app.
Please install the "JAC Members" app. If you have already installed it, do not delete it.
