The JAC website uses AI automatic translation (machine translation). Because it is machine translation, the translation may not always be accurate.
About the automatic translation (machine translation) function
- The website is automatically translated (machine translated) according to the language settings of the device you are using to view the website.
- To change the language, open the language selection panel from the Language button in the header and select the language.
- Some proper nouns may not be translated correctly.
- Some pages are not automatically translated. PDFs are not translated.
- Links to external sites will not be translated.

How to apply for a seminar
To apply for a seminar through the "JAC Members" app, please follow the steps below.
Step 1.
Open "Event List"
1-1. Open the "Event List"
On the home screen of the JAC Members app, tap [Events] on the bottom menu bar.
The "Event List" will open.


1-2. Narrow down events by "Category"
You can narrow down the events displayed by event category.

①Tap "Category" at the top of the screen.
②Select the category of events you want to display.


1-3. Filter events by "tag"
You can also filter the displayed events by tags.

Tap a tag, such as "Online" or "Interesting."


Step 2.
Check the details of the event
2-1. Open "Event Details"
Tap [Click here for details and to apply] for the event you want to check details for.
"Event details" will open.


2-2. Check the details of the event
Scroll down the screen to view more details about the event.
You can also view the page in your device's browser by tapping [View in browser].


Step 3.
Apply for the event
3-1. Display "Event Application"
In the "Event Details" section, tap the "Apply" button.
The "Confirm application conditions" dialog will be displayed, so tap [Apply].
*The [Apply] button will only appear for events for which registration is open.

*You cannot apply for events that are not currently accepting applications.
*The application period has ended.
*Applications have not started yet.
3-2. Take a photo of your ID
When using a residence card
"We will take a photo of your residence card."Tap and take a photo of your residence card.
*If there are any defects in the photo, such as the characters on the ID being illegible, your application will not be accepted. If you are unsure, please take another photo.

3-3. Take a photo of your face


Take the following photo:
● Take photos A and B according to the instructions.
● If there is no "anamoji" on the A or B pages of your passport, you will also need to take a photo of page C.

⑪ Take a photo so that both the page with your name and the page with the “Residence Period Renewal Permission Sticker” are visible.
⑫ Check the photos you took.
Once you have completed the check items, check them. Once you have checked all three, tap "OK."
If any of the items have not been checked, tap "Take Again" and take the photo again.

This completes the passport photo shoot.
You will return to the first screen.
Once your photo fits in all three frames, your passport photo shoot is complete.
Tap "Next" below the three photos.
3-3. Take a photo of your face
"Take a photo of your face"Tap. An explanation of what you need to be careful of will be displayed. Read the explanation carefully. Tap the [Start shooting] button to take a photo.
*If there are any imperfections in the photo, such as your mouth being open or there being something in the background, your application will not be accepted. If you are unsure, please take a new photo.

3-4. Enter other information
Select the country where you live.
People living in Japan
→ Select the prefecture where you currently live.
People living outside Japan
→ Select the bottom option, "Outside Japan."
Enter the address of where you are currently living.
(Example: Maison Shinagawa Room 201, 1-1-2 Minato-ku)
People who have worked on construction sites in Japan
→Select "Yes".
People who have never worked on a construction site in Japan
→ Select "No."
People who have worked on construction sites outside of Japan
→Select "Yes".
People who have never worked on a construction site outside of Japan

Please select where you learned about this seminar.

3-5. Display the confirmation screen
Tap [Next] to open the confirmation screen.


3-6. Confirm the information you entered and apply
Scroll down the screen to make sure you typed it in correctly.
If the details are correct, tap [Apply].
If you want to change the content, tap [Back].
Once your application is completed successfully, you will be returned to the "Events List".
The label in the upper right corner of the event you have applied for will change from "Not applied for" to "Waiting for application."

Event registration is complete
4-1. Event application is completed
Once your application has been approved by JAC, the label in the upper right corner of the event you have applied for will change from "Waiting for application" to "Application completed."
It may take some time for your application to be approved.
This completes your registration for the seminar.

*If your event application is rejected, please resubmit your application by following the steps in "Step 5. Resubmit your event application."

Tap [Confirm application details] for the event you have applied for.
The details of your application will be displayed.

Resubmit your event application
5-1. Check the reason for application rejection
For the event where your application was rejected, tap [Check message].
The "Message Details" will open, letting you know why your application was rejected.


5-2. Reapply
In "Message details," tap [Reapply].
The Event Application will open.
Please enter your information in the same way as in "3-2. Take a photo of your ID" and resubmit your application.
