The JAC website uses AI automatic translation (machine translation). Because it is machine translation, the translation may not always be accurate.

About the automatic translation (machine translation) function

The website is automatically translated (machine translated) according to the language settings of the device you are using to view the website.
To change the language, open the language selection panel from the Language button in the header and select the language.
Some proper nouns may not be translated correctly.
Some pages are not automatically translated. PDFs are not translated.
Links to external sites will not be translated.

If you choose "Plain Japanese", it will be a simple sentence and a phonetic.
If you select "Attach hiragana", you will add furigana to your sentence.
You can select your native language in "Language" to translate it.

What you can do with the JAC Members app

The Specified Skills Evaluation Exam Apply for pass certificate (Items 1 and 2)
Apply for events (seminars, Japanese language classes, etc.)

Foreign residents in Japan can use the smartphone app "JAC Members" to apply for The Specified Skills Evaluation Exam (Type 1 and Type 2) pass certificate, as well as attend events such as seminars and Japanese courses.

The Specified Skills Evaluation Exam Apply for pass certificate (Items 1 and 2)

If you pass the "The Specified Skills Evaluation Exam" (Exams 1 and 2) taken in Japan, you can apply for pass certificate through the "JAC Members" app.
pass certificate will be required when you get a job in Japan, so be sure to apply. And download it by the specified date.

pass certificate of exams taken in Japan between January and November 2025 are attached to messages in the "JAC Members" app.

pass certificate of exams taken in Japan up to December 2024 are attached to messages on JAC's My Page.

Apply for the event

Using the "JAC Members" app, you can apply for events such as seminars and Japanese language classes held by JAC.
View detailed event information and register for available events.

Please note that one account can only be used on one device. It is not possible to install and use the app on multiple devices.
If you have any questions about how to use the app, please refer to the manual.
