[Job Title] Civil Engineering Work

I used to work as a truck driver in Indonesia. I came to Japan because I want to start my own company in Indonesia in the future. Before coming to Japan, I studied Japanese. Since this is my first time going abroad, I was very worried about what kind of work I would do in Japan and whether I would be able to do the job.

When I first came to Japan, I didn't know anything about formwork or how to use the machinery. But my seniors taught me how to do the job using simple Japanese and gestures. I found it easiest to learn by watching and imitating my seniors when they demonstrated the work first. I gradually learned the job by asking my seniors questions whenever I didn't understand something.

On my days off, I go fishing and shopping with my Indonesian friends. My favorite Japanese food is ramen. At home, I also cook Indonesian dishes like rendang and bakso.

I want to continue working in Japan and save money. My goal is to one day return to Indonesia and start my own company.
