The company president, Yamanouchi-san, is like a father to the foreign employees in the company. He is strict in teaching them how to do their jobs on the job site and in the factory, but in private he enjoys messing around with them and having fun. We spoke to Yamanouchi-san about this.

ベトナム人についての印象をおしえてください

とにかく素直で純粋な人たちが多いと思っています。はじめてベトナムの学校を見学したとき、すぐれた子どもたちがたくさんいることにおどろきました。そうした人たちが当社にきてはたらいてくれれば、わが社の未来は明るいものになると考え、すぐに受入れを決めました。

彼らとはたらくようになってよかったことはなんですか？

受入れをスタートして一番よかったのは、社内の雰囲気が明るくなったことですね。若い人たちがいると、現場や工場もにぎやかになります。また、ベトナム人たちは当社をたよって日本へきていますが、反対にわたしたちもベトナム人がいないと仕事にならず、彼らの力をたよりにしています。つまり、おたがいにささえあってはたらいているということ。当社ではベトナム人と日本人がともだちになって、休日にはドライブに行ったり、魚釣りをしていたり、いっしょになってたのしんでいます。

仕事はどのようにおしえていますか？

仕事になれてきた2年目からは、玉掛けなどの資格をとってもらいます。そして3年目には型枠支保工作業主任者の講習を受けてもらい、それからかんたんな現場からまかせています。彼らは本当にすぐれていて、日本人が5、6年かけておぼえることを、2、3年でおぼえてしまいます。しかも、仕事だけでなく日本語をおぼえることも必要で、日本人よりもがんばっていて、本当にすばらしいと思います。

特定技能外国人に期待していることはありますか？

当社では特定技能２号のロンというすばらしい人材がそだっています。今後は第2、第3のロンをそだてたいと思っています。今は12名のベトナム人がはたらいていますが、これからはもうすこし人数をふやしていく予定です。そして、彼らに現場をどんどんまかせていきたいですね。

これから日本ではたらく特定技能外国人のみなさんへ、ひとことお願いします。

当社にきてくれた人には、しっかりとした技術を伝えていきたいと思っています。技術は一度身につけたら、ずっとつかえるものです。また、日本の建設技術は、日本国内はもちろん、世界にも通用するはずです。つまり、まちがいなくこれから生きていくうえで自分だけの武器になると思いますので、ぜひ日本でいっしょにはたらきましょう。

Yamanouchi-san says he hopes for more foreigners to lend their support.
