Important matters regarding safety and hygiene

There are many dangers on a construction site.
A little carelessness can lead to a major accident.
Always keep safety in mind when traveling to or on a construction site.

To all those entering the construction site, please observe the following:

It is important to stay healthy when working. If you are sick or feeling unwell, please report it to your supervisor. People who are not feeling well due to lack of sleep or a hangover cannot work.

Please attend morning meeting on time and follow the safety construction cycle during the day.

Before starting and finishing work, each person must check and inspect the safety of the equipment, work environment, machinery, tools, etc. at their work area for five minutes. In addition, each person must tidy up and clean up their work area for five minutes before finishing work.

Wear appropriate clothing and protective equipment for the job, and always use protective equipment when specified for the job.

Do not enter areas where there are no entry signs.

If you experience a near miss or are performing work that you suspect may be dangerous, stop immediately and contact the main contractor's staff or foreman.

Please do not remove safety equipment such as handrails or no-entry measures without permission. If it is unavoidable to remove them, you must obtain permission from the main contractor's staff. Please be sure to follow these rules.

When working at height, always use fall protection equipment.

If any work other than that instructed arises, stop the work immediately and contact the main contractor's staff or foreman.

Do not place or pile materials or debris in safety passages, around openings, around distribution boards, or near the roadside.

Slinging work must be carried out by qualified personnel, and single-line slinging is prohibited. Also, never stand under a suspended load.

If you bring heavy machinery or equipment to the site, you may need to submit a notification. Please do not bring them in without permission.

Do not install electrical wiring on distribution boards, etc. without permission. If wiring is required, contact the main contractor's staff or foreman.

Do not approach areas where heavy machinery or vehicles are in operation. The driver may not be able to see them. When passing through the surrounding area, follow the instructions of guides or spotters.

Any work or operation that requires a license must never be carried out by anyone who is not qualified to do so.

If you are operating heavy machinery or a vehicle, please turn off the engine and remove the key before leaving the vehicle.

Working or walking with a cigarette in your mouth is strictly prohibited. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.

If you find any defects in materials, measuring instruments, etc., do not use them, but contact the main contractor's staff or foreman.

If a failure or defect occurs during the work you have been instructed to do, do not leave it as it is, but contact the main contractor's staff or foreman.

Please separate any waste generated during construction and any unnecessary materials and dispose of them in the designated areas.

Please refrain from unnecessary idling or revving the engines of commuter vehicles and heavy machinery.

Leaking information, taking photos in the work site, or posting them on social media is prohibited. Please handle mobile phones and other devices in accordance with the confidentiality management rules of the work site.

- 28 years of experience in on-site construction management of tunnels and structures for subways, roads, and sewerage facilities.
He has served as a site manager, site representative, and general safety and health manager.
From 2001, he served as the civil engineering department manager of the Metropolitan Civil Engineering Branch for four years, achieving excellent results in leading safety management on the front lines. From 2002 to 2007, he also served as a lecturer for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism registered supervising engineer training course at the National Construction Training Center. Since 2009, he has been involved in Japanese-style safety management training for overseas construction projects. In September 2014, he contributed to the expansion of international business sector certification for ISO9001, ISO14001, and OHSAS, and to the acquisition of engagement certification.

He is currently involved in safety inspections of overseas construction projects and instructing local staff.
Full-time instructor for JAC Vietnam's local instructor training (Safety and Health Education) in 2021.
